There's more to the restaurants in the city than Star City
If you want to go to a Japanese restaurant, it's still a good idea to go to Chinatown/Haymarket. There's one on Hay St, Little Hay St, Liverpool St and George St and they are all within walking distance of each other.

Okay then, so we write up a list of restaurants whic hare available on the day, with the help of interwebs, and decide who wants to go where.

If, for example, 10 people wish to go to X and 10 people wish to go to Y then a split in the group can be sorted out.

I shall bring a clipboard, paper and a pen which will make me in charge since that's what people with clipboards are.

Don't. You'll be tugging that thing all day. Generally speaking, groups of friends will go to the same place to eat. There is no need for a vote, nobody will be stupid enoguh to wander off to a random restaurant by themselves. A meeting time and place before and after lunch is pretty much all that is needed. I still think that we shouldn't go to a restaurant rather, somewhere casual. A bunch of kids ordering from a restaurant will attract a lot of unwanted attention.

The point of a reunion is to get together, not for everyone to split up so they can go to the restaraunt of their preference...

Well, we'll do it democratically. Whichever place gets the most votes is the place of choice.

That willl leave a bunch of people unhappy and complaining.

Let people wander off into their own groups. I doubt anyone will be going by themselves to a restaurant.

It's not as if there will be an armed mutiny and it's not going to be that big of a deal.

well say there are 20 people
11 want X types of food
9 hate X types
X type food cost $20 per person
and the 9 people won't pay $20 just for something they don't like and if the 11 people don't let them eat somewhere else but eat with them...ditch them, they don't care about you they're not worth reunioning with.

I'm saying that we should give people what they want, not what everyone else wants. And like i said before, there isn't an issue with people getting lost, most people will be eating with friends. And furthermore, 20 kids at any restaurant will seem very weird. Most restaurants don't even have 20 tables free. There is no need for a huge unnecessary vote, it will only leave people unhappy and dissatisfied with their lunch choice.

well i think it really depends...are we gonna do anything afterwards together? coz if we are then i rekon we should all eat at one place, saves time of waiting for people to meet up and sum random place which will probs be far away from where we're planning to go after. but if we're just leaving then i think splitting up is better...

i know 20 kids at a restaurant will seem weird...but who cares? whats the opinion of those in the same restaurant on that day matter? its not like they're gonna memorise everyones face and report us to CrimeStoppers or sumthing because they thought it was "suspicious activity". Plus we'll probs sit at different tables anyway, therefore reducing the noise made...like half the guys on one table and half the girls on another (not all guys and all girls coz the all guys will make way too much noise )

buffet...not really worth it for us....worth it for the boys maybe but....well i dont think it'll be very worth it for girls (well at least not me)
